No, we are not affiliated with the bank, the owner, Terry Holdershaw grew up in Nova Scotia and that is where the name Scotia Entertainment came from.

Do your DJ's or Entertainers require a meal?
We ask that any event in length of 5 hours or longer that the DJ and Entertainers be fed a meal. It is of best interest to keep your DJ, Entertainers and other Vendors happy with a meal as it is a long day for them to be working.
Should we tip the DJ or Entertainers?
It is totally up to you if you want to tip your DJ or Entertainer. If you are happy with the service you received, then a gratuity is greatly appreciated by the DJ or Entertainers. Generally tips range from 5% - 15% of the total cost of the entertainment.
How will the DJ dress?
All of our DJ's wear dark dress pant, dress shirt and tie. During formal parts of the evening and ceremonies our DJ's will also wear a suit jacket. After dinner and all formalities we do allow for the DJ to take off their tie and jacket if they wish and it is appropriate for the event. If you have any special request for the DJ's attire we would be happy to discuss this with you in the planning and booking process.
Will our DJ take requests?
We will always take you and your guests requests, within moderation of course. We also have an online music request form that you can send to your guests in advance if they wish to make requests. During the planning process we give you the opportunity to provide us with a "Must Play", ""Play If Possible" and "Do Not Play" list which will of course override any requests that you wish not to hear.
What format do you store your music - CD's, Harddrive, Tapes...?
Our music library is fully digital, high quality mp3 format. All of our music is purchased and AVLA licensed. There are many benefits to a digital music library including fast searching, ability to have a larger music library at your event and a cleaner setup. Most of our DJ's are using the industry standard for software - Serato Scratch Live with professional table top cd players (looks like a turntable) and mixer.
